FOR HUNDREDS MORE PHOTOS, SEARCH MY ARCHIVE FOR "IMMIGRATION."

My photographs on undocumented immigration from Mexico to the U.S. began in 1994 when the Clinton Administration launched Operation Gatekeeper to shut down the US/Mexico border in San Diego. My work has taken me to border towns in Eagle Pass, Texas for the NY Times Magazine and into Douglas, Tucson and Tombstone, Arizona, California and Tijuana for Time Magazine and others. The work has been exhibited several times overseas and fourteen images reside in the permanent collection at the California Museum of Photography. Several images have been used in political campaign brochures throughout Arizona, California and elsewhere. I continue to document immigration as the call for reform gets louder across the United States.
